The Pacific Community (SPC) is an international development organisation owned and governed by the 26 country and territory members in the Pacific. SPC works for the well-being of Pacific people through the effective and innovative application of science and knowledge, guided by a deep understanding of Pacific Island contexts and cultures. PHAMA works in partnership with SPC to strengthen regional market access support services across multiple program areas.

Pacific Trade and Invest (PT&I)

Pacific Trade and Invest (PT&I) contributes to the sustainable economic development of the Pacific Islands countries by creating opportunities for successful connections for exporters, investors and stakeholder organisations. PT&I provide support to PHAMA regarding market research, linkages and contributing to other program outcomes.

Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR)

The Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) is a statutory authority that operates as part of the Australian Aid Program. The Centre encourages Australia’s agricultural scientists to use their skills for the benefit of developing countries and Australia. PHAMA works with ACIAR across numerous areas of mutual interest, including with ACIAR’s renewed Pacific Agribusiness Research and Development Initiative (PARDI) program.    

FFA

Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency

The Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA) enables Member Countries conserve and use the tuna resources in their Exclusive Economic Zones and beyond, through enhancing national capacity and strengthening regional solidarity. PHAMA collaborates with FFA on capacity building for authorities in Solomon Islands who take responsibility for health and catch certification systems for export, as well as on appropriate activities supporting industry development such as training on quality systems.

Market Development Facility

MDF is Australia’s flagship private sector development programme. It stimulates investment, business innovation and regulatory reform to create additional jobs and increase income for poor women and men in rural and urban areas in the Indo-Pacific region. 

Pacific Women in Business

Pacific Women in Business 

Pacific Women in Business is an online resource to support women who are starting or running businesses in Papua New Guinea, Fiji, and across the Pacific Islands. The website is designed to be a one-stop-shop for information and resources on all aspects of business and entrepreneurship – from how to register a company name, to information on finding and securing finance. 

 

Solomon Islands Rural Development Program (RDP)

Solomon Islands Rural Development Program (RDP) is funded by the World Bank, Australian Government and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). RDP takes a value chain approach to rural development in Solomon Islands. PHAMA has collaborated with RDP regarding Industry Working Groups (IWGs) in the Solomon Islands and in activities relating to  cocoa, coconut and other value chains.

AECOM manages the PHAMA program on behalf of the Australian Government. AECOM’s International Development services team work with clients in the public and private sectors across over 100 countries, achieving sustainable development outcomes through cost-effective, innovative and equitable activities.

Kalang Consultancy Services

PHAMA is implemented by AECOM, in association with Kalang Consultancy Services. Kalang provides biosecurity, trade and rural development project delivery and specialist advice, with offices in Australia and Fiji.
